Ability Shetland sponsored the first Inclusivity Award at the 2022 Shetland Sports Awards. This award is for an athlete, individual or club that goes above and beyond to promote inclusivity in Shetland.
Shetland RFC won the award for their ethos of anyone can play no matter their ability, age, size or shape. The volunteers at the club have gone out their way to create new playing opportunities for people in the community including the All Ability Rugby and Walking Rugby. They also volunteered at this year's Pride Festival to encourage more people to join the club. Well done!
Runners up were the Lerwick Outdoor Bowling Club and Brynn Hauxwell.
