We are delighted to let you know that Ability Shetland have secured a 3 year grant of £120,000 from BBC Children in Need! This funding will go towards the core costs of our Children and Young people’s project which includes staffing and activity costs for the many children’s groups we deliver across the whole of Shetland.
This funding gives us, and the families who require our support, a bit of security for the next 3 years. It also is recognition that what we do locally is needed and valued, and will help us secure match funding from local and national funders going forward too.
We are very grateful to BBC Children in Need for the maximum grant amount that will make such a difference to disabled children and their families in Shetland.
